DreamStart Labs is a Silicon Valley innovator bringing effective new technologies to the world of global poverty alleviation. They develop accessible apps and products for microfinance non-profit institutions that provide aid for aspiring entrepreneurs in developing countries.

INSIGHTS

Insights is an analytics platform that allows NGOs to view, report, and analyze data collected by DreamSave, a fintech app also by DreamStart Labs, which tracks the progress of savings groups within microfinance programs world wide.

Challenge

Design a user friendly onboarding experience for a product targeted towards a wide range of differing NGOs operating in the microfinance space.

Working on the onboarding experience for Insights was a true challenge with many twists and turns. There were many user problems that were solved along the way, some predetermined at the beginning, and others that surfaced while we were in the process.

DesigN System

The main dashboard of Insights was created before our onboarding design, so a robust, thorough design system was already in place. Our added implementations followed the original design system closely and expanded upon it where needed. Examples of added features included:
